About Pickmere Nurseries
Pickmere Nurseries has over 40 years experience in growing perennials. Most are propagated from our own field production resulting in a consistent grade and quality. We also produce small quantities of rare varieties that may not always be listed so please fell free to enquire if you have a specific request and we’ll do our best to help.
A Brief History
The nursery was established in 1976 supplying a handful of shops and garden centres with a range of 100 varieties of herbaceous plants, alpines and heathers. The business has developed over the years and now produces over 1200 varieties of perennials, grasses, ferns, bamboos, cordylines and phormiums: mostly 2 and 3 litre pots, backed by specimins in 5, 10, 15 and 25 litre pots. Our customers are located throughout Britain and include Garden Centres, Local Authorities, Landscape Contractors and Garden Designers.
The nursery moved to its present 2.5 hectare site in 1980, adding a further 3 hectares in 1990 (for field production). A cash & carry facility was opened in 2001 to meet changing market demand and offer more flexibility for our customers. The cash & carry also supplies a range of trees, shrubs and conifers purchased from other growers.

8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday (March-September)
8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday (October-February)
